Kate Gosselin can't pay her bills. That's just one of the things we learned this morning when Kate sat down with Meredith Vieira on the Today show for an interview. Kate had previously been on Today back in August.
Kate Gosselin delved further into her allegation that soon-to-be-ex-husband Jon Gosselin has removed $230,000 from their joint bank account without her consent, leaving her with only $1,000. While first assumptions were that Jon cleared out the account in one fell swoop, Kate says it was actually a series of withdrawals that began on August 10 -- coincidentally, that was the date of Kate's last Today appearance, and the beginning of her media blitz trying to put out her side of the story in the divorce.
Kate admitted that she herself had taken a large sum of money out of the account herself because Jon was making "erratic" and "random" purchases. A court arbitrator required Kate to put the money back into their account.
Jon's lawyer, Mark J. Heller, issued this statement about the supposed missing money:
Jon has not withdrawn any money for his own renumeration with the exception of the past several months wherein he believes he only withdrew approximately $175,000.
Only $175,000! That's just walking around money, right Jon? Heller also said he feels Jon will be awarded a large sum in the divorce, and would get that money anyway. Kate said that she doesn't care if Jon feels he's owed that money, he's made it so she's unable to pay for a roof over her kids heads, and that was unacceptable.
She did the show to provide financially for her children, and to now be back in the place where she can't pay the bills is horrible. Kate said she had a stack of bills in her purse that she now can't drop in the mail.
Fortunately the Gosselin kids have their own separate fund which Kate says is "substantial" and "secure."

OK, I've heard enough. Kate says her kids want to be on the show...they were wailing times 8 when they heard the show was going to be stopped. Since when do kids know what is best for them???? My kids wail when I say no candy before dinner, but I don't give in to their desires, because as their mom, i need to look after their best interest. I say Kate, stop trying to promote yourself. You are doing a great diservice to your kids.
