Kate Gosselin back on reality TV: Will join Celebrity Wife Swap on ABC

ABC announced Thursday that Kate Gosselin, mother received her own reality show after she gave birth to sextuplets, 'Jon and Kate Plus Eight' and then later just 'Kate Plus Eight' is participating in the new season of "Celebrity Wife Swap."

The person she'll be switching places with? Fellow reality personality Kendra Wilkinson.

Gosselin has eight children, while Wilkinson has just one. There's also the issue of actually being a wife. Wilkinson is married to football player Hank Baskett, while Gosselin is an ex-wife (of Jon Gosselin).

Gosselin is an interesting choice, because she’s not anyone’s wife after divorcing Jon Gosselin. Wilkinson is married to former NFL wide receiver Hank Baskett. ABC told Today that "the mom of eight will not have a boyfriend around while Wilkinson is at her home with the eight children."While Gosselin gets to share the home with Baskett, Wilkinson will have to brave taking care of eight kids alone, with only the help of nannies.

ABC also said the reality series “follows mothers in two celebrity families with very different values as they swap lifestyles, children and homes (but not bedrooms), for one week and embark on a journey like no other.” So, it's not just about trading husbands.

"Celebrity Wife Swap" premieres Feb. 26 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
