Kate wore Alexander McQueen to George's christening on Oct. 23. According to Us Weekly (via OMG! Yahoo!), Kate Middleton chose a Sarah Burton style for her son's christening. The cream-colored dress was conservative but very lovely and looked great with Kate's natural hair and make-up. She matched her son's clothing which was traditional for the occasion.
"Dressed for the celebratory occasion in a cream-colored dress with ruffle detailing by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen," Us Weekly reports. "A cream-colored fascinator and coordinating pumps completed the ladylike ensemble."
Kate in Alexander McQueen at today's christening is not the least bit surprising. Burton seems to really know what the Duchess likes to wear and what looks good on her tall, lean body. Kate chose Sarah Burton to design her wedding dress also -- and it is clear that Kate really likes this particular fashion designer's pieces.
Duchess Kate has become a fashion icon in her own right. Every time she wears a new outfit it almost immediately sells out of stores around the globe. She is known for her timeless looks that appeal to almost every woman. For example, Kate's favorite LK Bennett wedges are a huge hit and people have caused the shoemaker to produce more after selling out on more than one occasion.
Kate and Alexander McQueen will go beyond the christening. She will look for more designs by Sarah Burton for upcoming appearances and events. You can bet that Duchess Kate will be in McQueen again and again.
