With its ever-increasing selection of quick and healthy snacks, Cibo Express Gourmet Market at Reagan National Airport has become a necessary stop for gluten-free travelers. Until now, the only thing missing from Cibo has been a fresh, local, gluten-free option. That changes this week with the introduction of Kate Bakes Bars. Starting on June 5th, Cibo will feature four varieties of Kate Bakes Bars, all made by hand in the Washington, DC metro area.

Produced in small batches by owner Katelyn Sornik, all bars are vegan, made with dedicated gluten-free equipment, and include no gluten-containing ingredients. Filled with naturally healthy components like rolled oats, sunflower seed butter, almond butter, bananas, organic coconut, and organic flax, each of these 2-ounce bars also boasts 7.5 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber, and 220 calories.

Each protein- and fiber-packed bar is tasty, satisfying, and eminently portable, making this the ideal travel snack. National Airport travelers will be able to choose among Kate Bakes' Banana Cinnamon Oatmeal, Chocolate Coffee, Sunflower Butter Raisin, and Cardamom Date at Cibo, each priced at $5.49. Be sure to get one for yourself and your travel companion(s).

Cibo Express Gourmet Market is located outside of security in National Airport's National Hall area.
