In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, music star Rihanna came forward and addressed the turn of events that led to her reconciliation with fellow music star Chris Brown while also explaining why she is back together with the “Fortune” star.
Still caught up in the bizarre love triangle is Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, who has been getting more immersed with the media in recent weeks.
As seen in an article from S2SMagazine.com on Thursday, Jan. 31, Tran opened up about the public backlash she received after continuing to be involved with Brown even though he appeared to also be courting Rihanna.
“The most challenging part about the attention was the negativity and the misconception from some people,” Karrueche explained to Shekinah Anderson of Rolling Out. “People only see you in blogs and they think they know everything about your life. There are things that go public and everything that comes out is not the truth.”
Now aligned with Chris due to their business endeavors, as Karrueche will be overseeing his women’s clothing line titled “The Kill”, Karrueche understands she must have a professional approach.
“Regardless of what happened, we’re still going to be friends because at the end of the day, he was my best friend,” Karrueche said of her ex. “We have a business together, so there’s no way around it.”
Karrueche then appeared to take a jab at Brown, suggesting he wasn’t right for pursuing two women at the same time.
“[Chris] knows he’s wrong, but things still happened the way they did,” Karrueche explained.
More than anything, Karrueche wants people to be able to take something from the way she handled her situation.
“I hope people can learn from my story,” she added. “I want to be remembered as someone who remained positive through such a negative situation. Regardless of what you’re put through or what is going on in your life, keep a positive spirit. That will help you get through it.”
