I’m thinking Mr. Bush’s turd blossom (1) ---Karl Rove---takes himself just a little too seriously. For many of us his attitude is getting a might annoying. Karl seems to believe it is his sovereign duty to protect conservatives from Tea Party clods.
It is always a tad unsettling witnessing such things: when those who claim affection for the Common Man, turn, and throw that man under the stage coach.
Karl Rove Texas Ranger would have us believe his experience and inerrant perceptions give him exclusivity in determining electability, and, since most Tea Party people are gun-huggin,’ bible-thumpin,’ morality-manic hay seeds, it’s up to Karl to bring forward polished politicians to save the Republic from polished communists.
Reportedly Karl’s strategy is to form a subgroup to his PAC and that subgroup is designed to keep Tea Party people out of the primaries. Don’t you just love that ‘will of the people-consent of the governed’ centerpiece to Rove’s conservatism?
Apparently Karl has decided that victory will be realized---not by fighting the enemy directly---but rather by stabbing like-minded allies, a bit like Roosevelt knifing Churchill just before D-Day.
It is important to remember not long ago Karl assured us Mr. Romney was the polished person for the presidency. We should also remember Karl was ‘the architect’ that helped build a 60% increase in the size of the central government from 2001-2009.
Can it be said this initiative to save conservatism by attacking conservatives is a misguided campaign managed by a so-called conservative who believes moderation is the key to conservatism?
- turd blossom: a flower that grows in a cow pie; President Bush’s nickname for Karl Rove.
