Karl Rove ‘offended’ by Chrysler Super Bowl ad

Clint Eastwood starred in a two minute ad for Chrysler which debuted during the halftime of yesterdays Super Bowl. The ad talks about how the American auto industry returned to greatness and how all of America will return to greatness even after the economic problems that our country has been dealing with.

In the ad Eastwood says, “This country can’t be knocked out with just one punch, we get right back up again and when we do the world will hear the roar of our engines”.

But since the ad features Chrysler and the American auto industry which President Obama saved, even though Republicans were willing to see the American auto industry die, along with the million plus jobs that the industry creates, Karl Rove and Fox “news” see the ad as an endorsement of President Obama.

So now, they are slamming Clint Eastwood, who was once being considered as Ronald Reagan’s running mate for vice President back in the 80’s. Eastwood is one of those American icons that Sean Hannity loves to be associated with. But not anymore simply because an ad that talks about America being great again, appears to be pro Obama.

Chrysler, in making the ad even made sure that no pro union signs would be seen, there was no mention of President Obama or any President or political party. It was just Eastwood talking about great cars and a great America, two things that Fox and Karl Rove seem to have problems with while a Democrat is in the Whitehouse.

“I was, frankly, offended by it,” said Karl Rove on Fox News Monday. “I'm a huge fan of Clint Eastwood, I thought it was an extremely well-done ad, but it is a sign of what happens when you have Chicago-style politics, and the president of the United States and his political minions are, in essence, using our tax dollars to buy corporate advertising.”

David Axelrod, Sr. Whitehouse adviser said on Twitter that it was a "Powerful spot", and Whitehouse communications director Dan Pfeiffer, also on Twitter said, Saving the America Auto Industry: Something Eminem and Clint Eastwood can agree on."

Watch the ad on the left and see how America’s return to greatness in the auto industry has republicans showing their true nature when it comes to America, jobs and the economy. See how fixated the Republicans are and how willing they are to sink the ship in order to drown the captain. They are truly un-American.
