Karl Lagerfeld is going to cause an international uproar if the Chanel director doesn't stop talking smack about First Lady Michelle Obama. While the man has always been good at his job, there must be some sort of reason he loves to randomly attack public figures about their looks. Remember when he slammed Adele for her weight? Or when he carried on about Seal's skin? Well, it appears that First Lady Michelle Obama’s hairstyle is his latest target. On Wednesday the man basically slammed the First Lady’s hairstyle and it was completely unprovoked.
"I don’t understand the change in hairstyle," said Karl Lagerfeld in an interview with France’s Canal Plus. Suggesting Obama now looks like a news anchor, he clarified just how much he disliked the look. "Bangs were a bad idea...It's not good.”
Karl Lagerfeld is known for his over the top opinions and this latest reflection isn’t going to sit well with anyone. Liking or not liking the hairstyle of the First Lady is one thing, but to just continually attack one star after another for fashion and hair is entirely different.
While Karl Lagerfeld has yet to reflect on what a grumpy elderly man he has become, maybe he will someday as age hasn't made his opinions any less jagged. As everyone is entitled to an opinion, the issue is that Lagerfeld does it in a way that makes headlines just like a bully attracts attention by yelling at a victim on a street corner. If he hates the way people look so much, perhaps he should keep his eyes closed.
