News headlines claiming "Kardashians sue ex-stepmom" have been big celeb news online lately, as Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are suing Ellen Pearson. The lawsuit is apparently over who gets ownership of personal items once owned Robert Kardashian, father of the famous reality TV trio.
A report on April 6 from Huffington Post indicates that attorney Marty Singer, the lawyer who represents the Kardashians, recently released a statement indicating:
"The Kardashians and Kris Jenner have filed a suit against Ellen Pearson for taking personal property belonging to them by virtue of Robert Kardashian’s will and by virtue of copyright protection. Today's filing should serve as notice that they will vigorously defend their rights when forced to do so."
Pearson married the Kardashian sisters' father Robert just two months before he passed away from esophageal cancer. She's now accused of keeping certain personal possessions including a diary and personal photos. Since the will specifically said Robert's "personal tangible and intangible" property would be left to his four children, a lawsuit has now ensued.
The lawsuit may also have originated because of Pearson spreading rumors and innuendos through the media. Apparently she had shared some parts of the late Robert Kardashian's diary with In Touch Weekly. Some of what she shared indicates that Kris Jenner is an abusive mom, and also that Khloe is not actually Robert's biological diary. This latest lawsuit may really be an attempt by the Kardashians to get Pearson to stay quiet, and stop revealing personal stories just to get herself in the press.
Kim, Khloe and Kourtney have risen to fame for their appearance on various E! reality TV shows including "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," "Khloe & Lamar," and "Kim and Kourtney Take Miami." These shows can be seen on Cox Cable channel 60 for E! Entertainment channel in Roanoke.
