Could 2012 be the year we say enough! with all things Kardashian. The Kardashian family is everywhere, from their successful and very popular reality TV show, movies appearances, commercials, competing on Dancing with the Stars, on again off again romances, weddings, divorces, side reality television shows and not to mention a Boycott internet site rejecting the Kardashians.
At the end of 2011 it was the buzz all over the internet that the Kardashian family was in the works for a Fan appeal styled magazine that would be dedicated to the family’s antics dish and scoop.
Now the deal is a no go, according to the New York Post Page Six, it all started when Kris Jenner demanded complete editorial control having the say on all story content about her family. American Media Inc. the company behind some of the biggest and well known celebrity dish and dirt magazines like Star, National Enquirer, OK Magazine and Radar online just to name a few. Has pulled the plug on the Kardashian magazine as David Pecker Chief of AMI told MTV News that “There is no way he was going to tell his editors what stories they could and couldn’t do”.
It didn’t help either when Star magazine ran the story questioning whether or not Khloe was a Kardashian. Kris Jenner spoke openly in her book “Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian” stating that she did have an affair while being married to the late Robert Kardashian but the allegations regarding Khloe not being a Kardashian are completely false and untrue, Robert Kardashian is absolutely her biological father.
The magazine deal is not the only deal the Kardahian Klan has lost out on. It was previously reported that they were in talks with Mattel to develop a Kardashian limited edition Barbie Doll. US Weekly reported the Barbie dolls would be shaped more curvaceous to reflect the true look and body type of the Kardashian girls. Kim Kardashian had tweeted about it dropping hints that something Big was coming and she would see Barbie real soon in 2012.
A rep for Mattel told MTV News “We do not comment on product rumors”. Despite the negative reports and the lost of product deals one thing is certain the Kardashians are here to stay.
