Congratulations are in order as reality starlet Kourtney Kardashian and her longtime beau Scott Disick are expecting their second child.
That’s right, the proud parents of adorable Mason Disick, born December 14, 2009, announced on Wednesday the stylish tot will soon be a big brother.
In a statement to E! News, the eldest Kardashian, 32, said, “Scott and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our second child and are thrilled to be expanding the love in our family.”
According to 'US Weekly', Kourtney is now 9 weeks along in her pregnancy but the pint-sized fashionista actually found out 5 weeks ago.
“You’re supposed to wait 12 weeks to tell people,” explained Kourtney to the celebrity mag, “but I feel confident.”
Kourtney and Scott have always wanted to expand family
If you are a fan of the E! hit “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” you know the couple of 5 years often discussed having another child so son Mason won’t grow up alone.
While the reality show revealed Kourtney planned numerous "baby-making" sessions with Scott, 28, in the past, proud papa Disick says this go-round -just like with son Mason- wasn’t planned.
Scott told 'Us Weekly’, "It wasn't like we weren't trying. We kind of just said, 'If it's meant to be, it'll be."
Kim Kardashian shows big sis Kourtney support
As to be expected, the soon-to-be-single Kim Kardashian is in full support of Kourtney’s announcement. She took to her Celebuzz blog to say:
“I have some amazing news to share with you all! Kourtney and Scott are expecting their second child!! This is such a blessing and the whole family is beyond thrilled! I just know Mason will make the best big brother and I can’t wait to meet my new little niece or nephew! Congratulations Kourtney and Scott. Xo”
The baby-on-board news, along with Rob Kardashian’s 2nd place win on 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 13 finale, is a refreshing change for the Kardashian Klan - following the temporary public backlash middle sis Kim received after filing for divorce from Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage.
For now, no wedding bells are in sight for the Hollywood parents.
Congratulations Kourtney and Scott!
