The Kardashian curse could spell the end of Kanye West's popularity, according to SVP of Sports for Nielsen Stephen Master. He cited something called the "N-Score," which is an algorithm that rates the popularity of professional athletes. Master discovered something interesting about three athletes who dated one of the lovely Kardashian sisters; their popularity in the public eye dwindled after dating a Kardashian.
The surprising correlation between romancing one of these beautiful brunettes and decreasing in popularity has been dubbed the "Kardashian curse," according to a Jan. 2, 2013 report by The Huffington Post, but does it also apply to rappers in addition to sports stars? Unfortunately, the "N-Score" doesn't compile data on celebrities like Kanye West or Ray J, so the effect that loving a Kardashian may have on rappers has not been explored.
The three alleged victims of the Kardashian curse are Reggie Bush, Kris Humphries and Lamar Odom. Bush and Kim enjoyed a long-term relationship until he was allegedly discovered cheating. Humphries is Kim's soon-to-be ex-husband who even earned the title "NBA's Most Disliked Player" by Forbes magazine, and Odom is married to statuesque Kardashian sister Khloe.
Kanye West announced the happy news that Kim Kardashian is carrying his child during a Dec. 30, 2012 concert. Kim K. was reportedly unaware that her significant other was going to spill the beans onstage, but that's exactly what he did with his friends and Kim's family in the audience. Congratulations to the happy couple. May they avoid the curse.
