Karamu House announces 2014 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration

Activities will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014

Karamu House (located at 2355 East 89th Street, Cleveland, Ohio) will be holding its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration. The theme for this year is “Let The Children Lead”. The guest speaker will be Ms. Gigi Traore, Candidate for State Representative in the 11th District. The event is free and open to the public.

Some of the featured activities of the day will include breakout sessions in dance, music and visual arts as well as a re-enactment of the March on Washington by Dominique Paramore. There will also be presentations by Karamu Art instructors.

All guests will be eligible for a drawing for four complimentary tickets to the upcoming Karamu Theatre production of “Cerimonies in Dark Old Men”
