Kari DioGuardi is having a baby! On Jan. 17, Huffington Post reported that Kara has a son on the way, but it is via surrogate so she is not pregnant.
The former judge of "American Idol" will be having a baby with husband Mike McCuddy. They have been struggling with some fertility problems since 2009. The baby will still be her egg and his sperm. They actually used a friend and it worked the first time.
Kara said: “We’re praying for our surrogate, that she gets through this and that it’s as easy on her as it can possibly be, because she’s been a gem throughout the whole process." They are very happy and even spent the holidays with their surrogate.
This is the first child for Kara and her husband Mike. The baby should be here soon.
Fans are excited that Kara is finally getting her dream of becoming a mom. She has wanted this for a long time. The couple could not be happier.
