Kanye West to rule the world: Creates his own currency ‘Coinye West’

Kanye West has never hid the fact that he would love to rule the world one day. Often referring to himself as God, one can imagine that he is willing to endorse any project that could take him one step closer. And now he may have his chance. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on Jan. 3, Kanye West has the opportunity to represent his own currency.

Perhaps he saw potential in the Bitcoin concept, because he wants his own currency that people can use. He has cleverly called the currency, “Coinye West.” He isn’t actually owning the company behind the currency, as he isn’t the face of the money. But one can imagine that he isn’t too upset to have his face plastered on money. Either this will be a success, or he will have plenty of lawsuits against the company.

“Our goal with Coinye West is to make it easier for people to use cryptocurrency,” the creators has revealed to Vice Magazine. “Right now, it’s kind of a dark art for people to mine coins.” Only a certain number of coins will be given out to start with. “It will get people who are on the fence interested and help them to start using the currency, and we hope they’ll share it with their friends, too,” the makers told BBC.

The creators are hoping that Kanye will proudly endorse the coins, since they are created in his image. Do you think this is a horrible idea?
