Kanye West: Suge Knight drops appeal after settlement

Now Kanye West can put this behind him.  Kanye and rap mogul Suge Knight have reached a settlement for damages stemming from a 2005 shooting in Miami.

Knight, who was shot in a leg at one of Kanye's parties, claimed that the shooting incident would have never happened if West had better security at the party.  The Death Row records founder had been seeking $1 million in damages from the event.  The original court case had been thrown out because a Miami judge found there was not enough evidence to hold Kanye responsible back in November.

According to reports, Suge Knight had filed an appeal on the in December, but now West has reportedly decided to settle with Knight for an undisclosed amount.  Knight has accepted the deal and dropped the case.

All of this sounds like Kanye was just looking to get this event from 2005 and the court case behind him so that it didn't cost him anymore time and money.  Needless to say, if it is still highly unlikely that Suga will be showing up to any of West's parties anytime soon.
