According to a TMZ Jan. 28, 2014 article, Kanye West and the teenage man he assaulted in the chiropractor's waiting room reached an agreed settlement. To close the case without criminal prosecution, Kanye is paying over $250,000.

On Jan. 13, 2014, the teenager allegedly tried to help Kim Kardashian escape the paparazzi, but in the process doing so, he started hurling racial remarks. When Kim asked him to refrain from saying the N-word, the young teenager turned the racial remarks toward her, along with other profanity. Kim pulled out her cell phone and called her fiancé, Kanye West.

Kanye arrived almost immediately. When he found the young man sitting in the chiropractor's waiting room, Kanye started punching the young man in the face over 30 times. The receptionist yelled at Kanye to stop, but he kept hitting the teenager while Kim watched. A massage therapist came out, pulled Kanye off the teenager and then demanded Kanye to leave. As Kanye and Kim left, Kim repeatedly hollered that they have it all on tape.

On January 21, 2014, the 18-year-old had his lawyer contact Kanye’s lawyer to settle the matter out of court. There are several conflicting reports about the amount of money the young teen asked for. It ranges from several hundred thousand to $1 million.

The DA has not decided whether they will charge Kanye with battery. Shawn Holley, Kanye’s civil lawyer has not issued any comments or statements yet.
