Everyone knows that celebrities, singing stars, or rappers sometimes have a hard life, but according to Kanye West, his job as a rap star is life threatening. He takes his life in his hands every time he goes out on stage. According to Radar Online, Kanye compared his life as a rapper to that of a police officer. However, he takes it a step further when he compared his job as a rapper to that of a soldier in war.
Kanye told radio host, Garrett, of Saturday Night Online Radio, “I'm just giving up my body on the stage and putting my life at risk, literally.” On his Yeezus tour, Kanye, 36, stands on top of a moving mountain as he raps several songs. "That mountain goes really, really high. And if I slipped . . . You never know. And I think about it. I think about my family and I'm like 'Wow, this is like being a police officer or something, in war or something.'"
According to US, Kanye went on to say that, the risks to his life don’t end with just the mountain that he stands on. He’s talking about public acceptance. Someone might not like him. The press might say something bad, instead of glowing praise, or one of his fans might not like him anymore or one of his songs.
