Kanye West's baby announcement costs Kris Jenner thousands (Video)

When Kanye West stopped his recent Atlantic City concert to tell everyone in attendance that he and Kim Kardashian were having a baby, it was a nice story. However, Reality TV World reported on Jan. 4 that the move cost Kris Jenner up to $500,000.

An insider reports that often a baby announcement sold to a tabloid or a magazine such as Us Weekly can make more than even the baby pictures. This is because the news that the stars are having a baby is breaking news, and the publication that jumps on it first will get all the recognition.

Kris Jenner planned to sell the baby announcement to Us Weekly and believes she could have gotten $500,000 for the exclusive breaking story. Just this week, the Kardashian family allegedly received $200,000 just for exclusive photos of Kourtney Kardashian about her weight loss.

Kris Jenner has always run her family like a business, and was even reportedly responsible for how Kim Kardashian's sex tape was leaked, which kick started their reality empire. When Kanye revealed his big news at his concert, it stripped complete control from the hands of the Kardashian matriarch.

US Magazine is reportedly angry as well, hoping that the relationship with the Kardashian family would give them this exclusive as well. With the $200,000 they paid for the Kourtney story, the expected to get the first chance to break Kim's eventual pregnancy.

Kanye West had other ideas.
