Kanye West has put his Yeezus tour in Australia on hold to work on his highly anticipated studio album. The tour, which was slated to take place from May 2 to May 11 will be pushed back to September 5 to September 15, according to Roc Nation.

This is Kanye West's 7th studio album. His latest album, Yeezus, was well-received by critics. It sold 327,000 albums in its first week.

Kanye hopes to drop the album in the summer. With no singles out, that may not be possible. Kanye's last album didn't sell as much as his previous albums so he may promote it conventionally this time around.

He promoted Yeezus by playing music vidoes on the side of buildings. It was different but because of no lead single, fans didn't know what to expect from the album. In December 2013, Beyonce dropped her self-titled album without any promotion and it fair-ed well. She sold 828,773 albums in her first week. Promotion may not be the main cause but it played a role for the lower than usual album sales for Kanye.

All the tickets that were bought for the May 2nd to the May 11th dates will still be honored for the new dates.
