Do you wonder why Kanye West and Kim Kardashain changed their minds on getting married in France? According to Radar Online it's because France requires a 40 day residency beforethey allow anyone to get married. Although the couple may like France, they apparently don't like it well enough to live there for 40 days.

Kanye was livid that France wouldn't bend the rules so he could marry Kim in their country. Kim allegedly stayed out of it and let Kanye deal with the drama. However, Kanye wasn't alone in his ranting over the unfairness of it all. E! was also mad over the changed in wedding plans because they paid the bill for the ceremony to be held at Versailles.

A source told for Radar Online said, ““They were furious when Kanye demanded to change the venue, since the French government wouldn’t let them break the rules and let them marry there without living there for the correct amount of days. So they moved that part of the wedding to Italy, their way around that French rule.”

Even though the couple may not have the actual ceremony in France, they plan to treat their wedding guests to dinner before they board private jets to fly to Italy.

The source continues, “They’re still doing something in Paris. Both are supposed to be ‘weddings’ except neither will be legally binding. So there will be huge parties, and some wedding traditions, but no actual ‘I dos. Kanye still thinks that the French government will come around because of who they are, which is why he orchestrated having so much international spotlight on Italy in light of the change. Kim is staying totally and completely out of it.”

The source said that only a few of Kim's family and friends will be at the overseas wedding. Everything they do in Italy and France is for Kanye. He wants to impress his friends, fashion contacts and European friends.

Apparently Kim is telling her friends that she will have a “normal” wedding in the states.
