This year American rapper Kanye West was nominated for six Grammy Awards, but West did not attend the award show because he was halfway around the world with girlfriend Kim Kardashian. The pair were spotted sightseeing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Feb. 9, the day before music's biggest night, the Grammy Awards.
According to an article on People's website, "The two were spotted snapping pictures and taking in the scene at Corcovado Mountain on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil."
The live telecast of the 55th Annual Grammy Awards took place tonight, on Feb. 10 and West did in fact win three awards. He won two Grammy Awards for his collaboration with Jay-Z, "Ni**as in Paris" and one award for the collaboration song "No Church in the Wild" which features Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, and The-Dream.
The only award West won which was telecast live was Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, and The-Dream were all there to accept the award. Ocean did thank West in his short acceptance speech.
