Kanye West debuts new music

Kanye West has had a very busy last few days in London. He had a performance at the Wireless Festival in which he got booed because of a 15 minute rant that he went on. Never the one discouraged, he came back the next night and performed at the same festival as a last minute fill-in for his good buddy Drake, who had fallen ill. Now there are reports that at a London club, Kanye debuted 20 new tracks. There had been rumors that Kanye has been working on a new album for months and now there is at least new music that would seem to back up that claim.

Reports say that he jumped behind a DJ booth at a late night club and played 20 new tracks for a private party. The new tracks were described as “dark,” “hellish,” and “ground-shaking” by local DJ Jason Powell. Now this new music is guaranteed to be the music that will ultimately make the final cut of whatever album Kanye eventually releases, those descriptive words have been used in reference to what Kanye is working on for his new album, by sources in the know.

Producer and Kanye collaborator Evain Christ said that Kanye asked for tracks that sound “a bit like Otis Redding, a bit like Mobb Deep," for his upcoming album. Rsonist of The Heatmakerz told AllHipHop.com that they sold a beat to Kanye that was “like an ‘Otis’ [off of the Kanye West/Jay-Z album 'Watch The Throne'] type of feel – ‘Otis’ on steroids.”

Keep an ear to the street, as when these private listening sessions occur, the music being leaked is soon to follow. Stay tuned.
