Paris Fashion Week is off and running with celebrities from the United States viewing the latest men's fashions. Paris Fashion Week started off with a slam dunk as models walked a mock basketball court to premier Riccardo Tisci’s Givenchy designs. A scoreboard marked the the entrance where the models began their walk.
Rapper Kanye West, close friend of Tisci, wore a knee length rabbit coat that created a frenzy of paparazzi flashes upon his arrival. Kanye refused an interview with media, but appeared relaxed as he smiled from a front row seat at the show. Partner Kim Kardashian was not present, but actress Noomi Rapace and stylist Carine Roitfield sat on each side during the premier. New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz also attended the show, while actor Will Smith was front row at the Louis Vuitton collection.
Basketball and abstract patterns were apparent in shirts and sweaters, “[b]ut the show’s creative slam dunk was when the sporty patterns morphed into the abstract circular shapes and lines of the early 20th-century Bauhaus movement, which included artist Paul Klee and Vassily Kandinsky,” according to ABC News. “Tisci continues to be one to watch.”
