Kanye West fans, critics, and curious music aficionados alike who are still looking to catch the Yeezus tour, now have 9 more chances to see the 2nd most successful tour of 2013 according to Bilboard (trailing only Paul McCartney's Out There! tour) as announced by Kanye's website today.
The Yeezus tour, which originally wrapped this past December, announced additional tour dates today via Kanye's website giving fans of the mercurial emcee 9 more shows to potentially catch the acclaimed tour that had the entertainment world buzzing since the tour started back in October of 2013. Fans who attended the Yeezus tour during its initial run, were treated to a lyrical and visual spectacle featuring a variety of theatrics from the Chicago native. The artist who likens himself to an un-worldly figure, received a heap of veneration for his 29 act tour which included everything from a Jesus impersonator (during his track Jesus Walks), a bevy of bejeweled masks donned by Yeezus himself, and even a glacier-like mountain that splits into a volcano.
Kanye West, hate him or love him, is the consummate entertainer when it comes to creating a visually and emotionally captivating show as seen on his Glow in the Dark tour (2008) and more recently alongside Jay-Z in the Watch the Throne tour (2011); both received wide acclaim for their larger than life entertainment quality. Will Kanye's 9 additional shows, which begin this February 13th in University Park, Pennsylvania, be as talked about as the previous dates? Fans and followers of Yeezus can find out for themselves as tickets go on sale this Friday on livenation.
