During a recent radio interview with Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Tuesday, October 29th, Kanye spoke out on behalf of his soon to be bride, Kim K stating that she is more influential than Michele Obama and Kim deserves a turn on the cover of Vogue magazine.
Kanye goes on to explain why he’s making these statements and told Ryan Seacrest, “There’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue magazine. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like every day.” Apparently, Kanye is comparing her to Michele Obama, basing it off the fact that Michele Obama was on the front cover of Vogue magazine’s April 2013 edition.
Kanye goes on to say: “And collectively, we’re the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what (President Barak Obama) is wearing,” he goes on to say “Michele Obama cannot Instagram a picture like what my girl Instagrammed the other day.” He’s referring to a picture Kim Kardashian Instagrammed of herself in a white bathing suit, making sure to give viewers a good shot of her posterior. She claims the picture was taken to show how she looks after having her baby, North West in June. I’m sure many will say, Michele Obama wouldn’t want to post a picture of herself in a bathing suit to show the world, so Kim can certainly win that over Mrs. Obama, she’s just simply more classy than that.
West goes on to say “Reality TV stars shouldn’t be overlooked by mainstream fashion magazines and that Carine Roitfeld got it right when the former French Vogue editor put Kim Kardashian on the cover of her eponymous CR Fashion Book.” Recently, Kanye also made statements that Kim Kardashian should also be able to get a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
Many have argued that Kim hasn’t done anything to deserve a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. There are many speaking out, stating that Kanye’s comments comparing Kim to Michele Obama are outrageous and crazy. Kanye’s comment about people not looking at the Obama’s clothing again sounds outrageous and crazy because there are so many more important things going on in the world than being worried about what someone’s wearing, there’s just so much more to life than clothing.
What do you think; can Kim Kardashian stand up to the First Lady of the United States, Mrs. Michele Obama?
