Meanwhile the story of Kanye getting booed continues to make news. Kanye called himself the next Shakespeare and Walt Disney in a rant that ultimately drew boos and caused people to leave the concert early, Entertainmentwise reports.

"I ain't concerned about anyone who’s living,” Kanye ranted to concertgoers. “I ain't going after no one on the radio. I'm going after Shakespeare. “I'm going after Walt Disney. I'm going after Howard Hughes. I'm going after David Stern. I'm going after Henry Ford."

Meanwhile, video is surfacing of Kanye being booed at the Bonnaroo 2014 festival Entertainment Weekly reported Saturday. That video is posted here. Kanye was supposed to be the headline performer at the festival Friday night but not everyone looked forward to his performance.

“F--k Kayne”

Variations of “F--k Kanye” began appearing throughout the audience on graffiti including walls, barriers and port-a-potties. That anti-Kanye slurs were first noticed on Wednesday.

Kanye undeterred

Despite the signs, West took the stage for his headline performance at 10 p.m. At that time crowd estimates were put at more than 90,000. HipHopWired.com reports that more than 100,000 were in attendance. The set design for the performance was noticeably more subdued than from his “Yeezus” tour. But Kanye was anything but toned-down.

Outburst

About halfway through his set, when the song “Heartless” was being introduced, Kayne started shouting “Where the press at? F–k the press!”

Many members of the news media were in attendance for the show. But West continued with his rant. He bragged to the crowd about his strong work ethic and his commitment to music.

Kanye continued, “humbled in a way that gave him strength” because at 37, “what you see [of him] now is only the beginning.” and later added, “I am the No. 1 muthaf–kin’ rock star on the planet!”

Crowd booes

The crowd did not take that sitting down. The audience forcefully booed him and many got up and left. But the festival attendees did not leave the area, they migrated over to the UK dance band “Disclosure’s” tent before the duo’s set even began.

The raucous crowd shouted well-organized chants of “F–k Kanye!”
Bonnaroo is noted for its mellow crowd. The festival’s official slogan is “Radiate Positivity.”

But to summarize the mood of most of the crowd, someone wrote on a wall: “Dear Kayne, Kim gave a better performance.”
While Kanye West has long been known for his preachy and sometimes over-the-top rants, apparently the crowd this weekend was in no mood. Some said it was the first time they ever booed a performer, while other die-hard Kayne fans were offended that some in the crowd interfered with his performance.
