Kanye West went on a Twitter rant about Jimmy Kimmel Thursday night. West took offense to Kimmel’s jokes about his recent BBC interview where Kanye appointed himself as the number one rock star on the planet.
In an interview with New Zealand radio DJ, producer and television personality, Zane Lowe, Kanye says, “We’re the real rock stars and I’m the biggest of all of them.” And then he goes on to say, “...I’m the number one rock star on the planet.”
In normal Jimmy Kimmel fashion, he created a skit poking fun at the interview by using a kid actor. This didn’t sit well with West who, according to Kimmel, contacted him after airing of the skit.
According to Kimmel, West felt that he should publicly apologize to him for the skit. During Kimmel's’ monologue, he reads off Kanye’s posts on Twitter that include him saying that Sarah Silverman was funnier than him and he was out of line to spoof an honest interview.
Kimmel jokes and says, “Finally, I’m in a rap feud. I always wanted to be in a rap feud.” He goes on to say, “Right now we’re at Def-Kanye Five.”
