Kansas City Royals scoring big in spring training

The Kansas City Royals are in Surprise, Arizona, for spring training. This team has been full of some pleasant surprises for its fans. So far, they have played eight games. They have won seven games; tied for one. Some trades were made to bring in some better pitching and some coaching staff changes were made over the off-season.

The first game of spring training, the Kansas City Royals played against the Texas Rangers, which ended in a 5-5 tie. Since then, the final scores have been close for many of the games, but the Royals always came out on top. One game had the Royals blowing the Arizona Diamondbacks out of the water with a final score of 16-4. The pitching has been superb and the hitting has been going well, too. All in all, the team looks really good.

In watching the preseason shows, the Kansas City Royals are predicted to have a "winning season." Out of three making the predictions, they placed the Royals in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the Central Division of the American League for 2013. In hearing the players talk about how things are in the clubhouse and on the field, it's all good. The players are excited for the upcoming season. They're seeing good things happen in the team and want to play well together.

Colossians 3: 16-17 says, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him," (The New American Bible). This Bible verse is one that speaks of leisure time and our enjoyment of it. God wants us to enjoy our lives. If baseball is an interest to you, a trip to Kauffman Stadium to take in a Royals game can be a fantastic family outing, a great date for a couple, a fun outing for singles, or a way to get away from it all for a business group or others.
