Kansas City Pet Telethon scheduled for March 3

The 13th annual Kansas City Pet Telethon, a benefit for the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, will air Sunday, March 3 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on KMCI-TV (“38 the Spot”).

Hosting the event will be KSHB-TV meteorologist Gary Lezak and 38 the Spot personality Crystle Lampitt. In addition to soliciting pledges, the program will also feature some of the adoptable animals at HSGKC.

Each donation of $35 earns an entry into special drawings. Prizes include two round-trip tickets from Southwest Airlines. Donors who give at least $75 during the telethon will receive a long-sleeve Pet Telethon T-shirt. The same goes for those making a similar donation beforehand, either online or by mail. To mail a donation, send it to: The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, 5445 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS 66104.

Make checks payable to “Pet Telethon.” All donations are tax-deductible. HSGKC will mail the T-shirts to qualifying donors by April 1.
