KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 12, 2014) --- Kansas City transforms as a Midwest destination for fashion, as designers from across the country plan to present their creations at Kansas City Fashion Week® during the Spring 2014 showcase. Kansas City Fashion Week will take place at the historical Union Station for it’s second season.
As the fifth consecutive multi-day event, Kansas City Fashion Week’s Spring 2014 showcase will feature men’s and women’s wear, accessory and jewelry. The three runway events will feature designers from Kansas City and beyond including talent from Nebraska, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, and more. The event draws emerging to prominent designers each season, many inspired by international trends and cultures.

KCFW’s Second Season at Union Station
Kansas City Fashion Week will be held at Union Station for the second season. As a fully restored landmark in Kansas City, Union Station is a prominent destination for cultural and entertainment activities. Kansas City Fashion Week’s three runway shows will be held in the Grand Hall where 95-foot ceilings and three 3,500-pound chandeliers highlight the over 75-foot runway. Kansas City Fashion Week Additional Events
Official Kick Off Event at Standard Style – Thursday, March 13
Kansas City Fashion Week will kick off their week of events at Standard Style Boutique, located on the Country Club Plaza from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Open to the public.
Designer Presentation Event – Friday, March 14
Gain a first look of the Kansas City Fashion Week designer collections at a trunk show and presentation hosted at the AIA Event Space (1801 McGee, Suite 100). Open to the public.
