Here’s a list of dog-related events happening this weekend in the Kansas City metro.

Friday, March 29

Re5cue Clothing will host a benefit at Hotel Nightclub (1300 Grand Blvd.) for Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption. The event begins with a raffle at 9 p.m. and free champagne during the first hour. There is no cover charge. The tunes crank up at 10 p.m. Unleashed will get 25 percent of the proceeds from all clothing sales.

Saturday, March 30

Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Treats Unleashed in Leawood (4209 W. 119th St.) is having an Easter party. Proceeds from photos taken at this event will go to Kansas City REGAP (Retired Greyhounds as Pets). The event is free, otherwise. Scheduled during the event are prize drawings and an Easter egg hunt in the shopping center.

Three Dog Bakery’s 16th annual Easter Begg Hunt starts at noon at Mill Creek Park (47th and J.C. Nichols Parkway, KCMO). The store is hiding about 2,000 treat-filled eggs at the park, with coupons stuffed in more than 500 of them. The finder of the “golden egg” will win one 12-pound bag of Bake to Nature dog food for the next 12 months. Plus, the store is awarding prizes to the small and large dogs with the best costumes. Advance registration is $12 per dog; registration on the day of the event is $15 per dog. You can register in advance at Three Dog Bakery (602 W. 48th St., KCMO) or by calling the store at 816-753-3647.
