Thursday, March 14
Watch the Big 12 championship games while helping the animals at the KCMO animal shelter. Hoops for Hounds is a benefit for KC Pet Project. It’ll be in the Muehlebach Suite at Boulevard Brewing Company (2501 Southwest Blvd., KCMO) from 6 to 10 p.m. Purchase a single ticket for $65 or a pair for $100. Tickets include heavy appetizers, desserts, complimentary wine and Boulevard beer, a commemorative custom pint glass and participation in the silent auction.
Thursday, March 14 through Sunday, March 17
The Heart of America Cluster dog shows begin this Thursday at Bartle Hall (301 W. 13th St., KCMO). Breed judging begins at 9 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday. You’re bound to see some of our local breed clubs and animal welfare groups taking part in the parades this weekend.
