The new name for the annual conference in Kansas City for nonprofit professionals from throughout the Midwest is Nonprofit Solutions Conference. The event used to be called the Philanthropy Midwest Conference.
This year's conference will be on October 21 and 22 in the Kansas City Convention Center, and it will feature these headliner sessions:
- The Networked Nonprofit - Beth Kanter
- Social Transformation: Insights on Solving Problems at the Magnitude They Exist - Community Wealth Partners
Also on the agenda will be workshops and the annual Philly Awards competition celebration.
Nonprofit Solutions Conference is a signature event of Nonprofit Connect, based in Kansas City, MO. The organization links the nonprofit community to education, resources and networking so organizations can more effectively achieve their missions.
Kanter is the author of Beth’s Blog: How Nonprofits Can Use Social Media, a long running and popular blog for nonprofits.
She co-authored the book, The Networked Nonprofit, with Allison Fine published by J Wiley in 2010 that received Honorable Mention for the Terry McAdams Award. And, Kanter has over 30 years working in the nonprofit sector in technology, training, capacity building, evaluation, fundraising, and marketing.
Her second book, Measuring the Networked Nonprofit, with Co-Author KD Paine, was published in October, 2012.
