The 2013 Kanrocksas Music Festival line-up announcement started with a bang by announcing three acts that will be at the music festival, which will take place on June 28 and 29 at the Kansas Speed Way located in Kansas City, Kansas.
The first act announced was rapper Kendrick Lamar. The Compton, California native released his second album Good Kid, m.A.A.d city back in October of 2012 were it debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Many critics have hailed as one of the best albums of the 2012.
The second act announced was the bluegrass, folk, rock band The Avett Brothers. The Avett Brothers released their studio debut album I and Love and You back in 2009 were it was considered one of the best albums of 2009, including receiving album of the year from Paste magazine. Their follow-up album, The Carpenter, released in September of 2012, has also received critical acclaim.
The final act announced was DJ Tiesto. DJ Tiesto is considered one of the most popular DJs spinning right now. He plays different styles of music but mainly plays house, electro and progressive.
