It's no secret that the housewives of the various "The Real Housewives" shows don't actually hang out with all of their co-stars when the cameras aren't rolling. The cast of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is no different, which is hardly surprising since it seemed that some of the women could barely stand being in the same room as the others during some parts of season six. In an interview with OK! Magazine, posted on Sunday, July 6, Kandi Burruss revealed which of her co-stars she has actually stayed in touch with since season six ended.
Kandi said that she has obviously kept in touch with Phaedra Parks since she was her bridesmaid at her wedding to Todd Tucker. As shown on her Instagram account, Kandi and Phaedra are so close that they even went on vacation recently to celebrate a friend's birthday. Clearly, their friendship exists beyond the reality TV show.
Kandi also revealed that has kept in touch with Porsha Williams. Kandi joked that Porsha, whose divorce to Kordell Stewart was finalized in mid-March, is now her party friend. Kandi remarked that now that Porsha is single, she can hang out so they get to see and talk to each other a lot.
Surprisingly, another co-star with whom Kandi has kept in touch with since the reunion is Cynthia Bailey. Kandi said that she actually met up with Cynthia recently for lunch. Kandi admitted that she feels really bad for Cynthia for what she's going through with NeNe Leakes, who went on "Watch What Happens Live" after the reunion and basically said that Cynthia should be fired from the show because she brings nothing to the table.
Kandi said that she thought what NeNe said about Cynthia was mean. She also pointed out that she always thought that Cynthia was cool but now that she's no longer so attached to NeNe, she gets to be more of everybody's friend.
Viewers will get to see the close friendship between Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks in action when the finale of "Kandi's Wedding" airs tonight, Sunday, July 6, at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. Viewers will also see Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey at the wedding as guests.
