Kandi Burruss defended her mom on a recent appearance on "Watch What Happens Live." On Dec. 10, UPI reported that Burruss (a star on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta") confronted those who have been criticizing her mother's behavior.
"As her daughter, it’s my job to make sure the she’s good. She made sure that I was good growing up, I’m gonna make sure that she’s good. I don’t care if she doesn’t like my relationship. That’s my mom. I don’t care what y’all have to say. That’s my mama… she can have whatever she wants, ‘cause that’s my mama," Burruss told Andy Cohen.
Kandi Burruss' mom, Joyce, made an appearance on Sunday night's episode of "RHOA" where she confronted Burruss' assistant, Carmon, and accused her of having an affair with Burruss' fiancé, Todd Tucker. Some believe that Joyce was out of line and that she shouldn't have said the things that she did -- hence the backlash. But Burruss loves her mother and, no matter what, that's her mom, and she totally gets that. Other people, however, think Kandi is too lenient when it comes to Mama Joyce.
"You have to make a choice that you’re not going to be putting up with this. I feel so sorry for you. She’ll be running your life forever!" Carmon said to Kandi -- and a lot of people agree.
Was Kandi Burruss' mom out of line? Do you think Kandi needs to put her foot down or do you respect her attitude toward the whole thing?
