Kama Ruby and Company at The Padre Hotel, Tuesday, Jan. 18

"Jazz and Martinis" night returns to the Prospect Lounge in The Padre Hotel Tuesday, Jan. 18. As usual, there will be a live band performing from 7:30 - 9:30 PM. This week it's Kama Ruby and Company, featuring local actress/vocalist Kama Ruby backed by a stellar jazz band comprised of Zeke Victor (piano), Glen Fong (bass), and Canaan McDuffie (drums).

They'll be performing some jazz standards as well as jazzy twists to some classic rock tunes, such as Blind Faith's "Can't Find My Way Home," The Doors' "Light My Fire," Traffic's "Feelin' Alright," and Tom Petty's "Breakdown."

Judging by the enthusiastic response from the crowd the last time this group performed here, it should be a lively and fun evening.

Doors open at 7 PM. There is no cover charge, but, it is a 21 and over only club. The Padre will be offering drink specials until 10 PM.
