Kaley Cuoco celebrated her wedding on New Year's Eve and one detail (aside from her pink wedding dress) is getting tons of attention this week: Kaley and her husband, Ryan Sweeting, had an upside down wedding cake! On Jan. 2, People Magazine reported that Cuoco's cake literally defied gravity as it hung upside down from a chandelier -- and yes, it was real. In fact, Kaley and Ryan cut the cake and ate it. So how did it work?
"The answer: a few trips to Home Depot, a custom rigging built with event rental company Rrivere Works and enough sandbags to match the weight of the cake, which boasted a 27-inch bottom layer (nearly double the size of a standard tiered cake) and was covered in heavy rhinestones," People Magazine reported.
Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting didn't waste any time getting married after becoming engaged just a couple of months ago -- but that doesn't mean that they skipped any of the important details. Those who attended Kaley's wedding said everything was simply stunning and given the couple's amazing cake, it sounds like no detail went unnoticed. And really, who can get over that cake?!
"Lots of people are asking about our cake and I'm happy to share another pic. It was truly upside down! @thebutterend (sic)," Kaley tweeted on Thursday along with the photo shown here. Kaley Cuoco chose two flavors for her upside down wedding cake: Almond with toasted almond cream cheese buttercream frosting and chocolate almond cherry with cherry cream cheese buttercream frosting. Yum.
