Well, unfortunately the married couple keep their bundle of joy under wraps when it comes to pictures, but when you have such a cute baby it's hard not to show him off, and Kaitlin Olson proudly posted pictures of her son Axel Lee McElhenney via her twitter account this week. Her husband Rob McElhenney plays Mac on the show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney welcomed their son into the world on September 1, 2010. Kaitlin Olson who plays Dee Reynolds (Sweet Dee) shot season six of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia while pregnant. The show incorporated her real life pregnancy into the storyline which led Sweet Dee to be pregnant via surrogacy.
Season six ended with Sweet Dee giving birth (full recap/video) and in a way, the season came full circle. The first episode of season six (Mac Fights Gay Marriage quotes) revolved around Mac finding out that Carmen the tranny was now married to another man, and in the season six finale Sweet Dee gave birth to Carmen and her husbands baby.
On the birth of her son:
“I went into labor at the Phillies/Dodgers game on Tuesday night. As soon as (Phillies star) Ryan Howard hit a three-run home run, we felt comfortable leaving to go have our baby. We love him like crazy, even though he made us miss the second half of the game.”
