$50,000 will be awarded to top relay teams in the Open Relay, Corporate Cup and Government Cup divisions. Winning teams give the cash awards, ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 to one of the race's Charity Partners. Kaiser Permanente and The Colfax Marathon Partnership have increased the amount of money awarded to winning relay teams to $50,000 in 2014.
"We are a nonprofit and our mission is to help our communities," Andrea Dowdy, CEO of the Colfax Marathon states. "We pair one of the largest Charity Partner programs in the country with Colorado's biggest corporate race. It's a natural fit."
