Fans of “Teen Mom 2” finally got to see Kailyn Lowry’s husband Javi Marroquin on the show, however Kailyn says their meeting didn’t happen as MTV implied. MTV made it look as if they were there for the meeting, but Lowry said that wasn’t the case, according to a Jan. 22 The Stir report.
Kailyn explained that she was working at Buckle, a store in the mall, when Javi came in with his brother. Lowry originally thought Marroquin’s brother was his dad, which got them all laughing. Kailyn chatted with Javi as she helped him shop, even learning he hates graphic t-shirts.
Lowry was surprised when Marroquin asked if he could buy her ice cream when he checked out. In fact, Kailyn turned down his invitation.
Javi didn’t give up, though, and continued to visit Lowry at Buckle. The two began communicating on Twitter and Kailyn eventually gave Marroquin her phone number.
Taking it slow seems to have paid off. Unlike so many “Teen Mom” stars, Kailyn and Javi seem to have a solid relationship.
