Mental illness is a problem all over America. Not only with people not being able to find help to be diagnosed, or medical professionals not believing in mental health issues, but also with people knowing they have problems and not doing anything about them. On Jan. 31 US Weekly reports that this was unacceptable for Kailyn Lowry, who also shares the spotlight of "Teen Mom 2" with another that was diagnosed as bipolar that goes off her meds when she feels like it.
Kailyn says that she found out she was bipolar after a series of counseling session that stemmed from a huge disagreement with, now, husband Javi Marroquin and his family. Kail says that her mother is bipolar so it was always a possibility that she would be too considering these sort of mental illnesses are often genetic.
Kailyn says that she can't really go into detail about the incident now because we will get to see the story unfold more as the season of "Teen Mom 2" progresses, but she wanted to publicly apologize to her fans and Javi's family again for the humiliation they may feel when the story unfolds. She says that she is humiliated over her own actions and she is sorry that she let her emotions get the best of her.
Kailyn says that she will soon be starting medication to stabilize her mood and manage her mood swings. It was a courageous act to agree to go public with such a touchy subject and fans are glad that Kailyn is getting the help that she needs.
