KAH Blanco Tequila was just named the #1 rated Blanco Tequila by industry authority Beverage Tasting Institute with a score of 96 points. It’s the highest rating ever awarded to a Blanco Tequila. The Añejo and Reposado varieties each received 90+ points for their entry.
The first thing anyone will notice are the flamboyant skull bottles. The bottles are beautiful and are like nothing I have seen before. Drinking is all about ambiance and feeling, and the feeling that KAH aims to evoke begins with the bottle.
The KAH theme which is not only the tequila, but the beautiful skull bottles it is packaged in, celebrates life. Forged from artisanal materials, the skull shaped bottle includes motifs drawn from Mexican culture and capturing the essence of life.
I received sample bottles of the KAH Blanco, Anejo, and Reposado from KAH’s PR team to review. Each of these three tequilas come with a distinct flavor profile, and worked better in different types of cocktails.
I started with the KAH Blanco, and the opening shot tasted a bit sweet with very little, to no heat going down my throat, and then a kick of heat in the stomach. A good flavor with just a touch of heat. KAH Blanco makes for fine tequila to mix for lighter cocktails. Below are three recipes, which will bring out the flavor of KAH Blanco.
Cider House Ghouls:
• A dash of ground cinnamon
• 1 ½ oz Kah Blanco Tequila
• 1 ½ oz Fresh apple cider
• ½ oz Club soda
• ½ oz Fresh lemon Juice
• .5 oz Simple syrup
In a mixing tin add cinnamon, tequila, apple cider, lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Add to Collins Glass and top with Club Soda.
KAH Twilight Delight

• 1/4 oz Orange juice
Pour first 3 ingredients over ice into collins glass and stir gently. Top with pineapple and orange juices. Garnish with a lime wheel. Serve with a straw.
The second offering was the Tequila Anejo, this was my personal favorite; a smooth hint of chocolate and vanilla and a beautiful finish. I could drink straight as my go-to tequila shot. Below are two recipes which feature KAH Tequila Anejo,
