Kaepernicking craze: 49ers quarterback inspires a new pose beyond 'Tebowing' (Video)

The "Kaepernicking craze" has officially taken over. Following in the footsteps, or biceps rather, of Tim Tebow, San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, set off a new sensation with his touchdown pose during Saturday's 45-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers during the NFL playoffs.

A report on Jan. 13 from Yahoo! News indicates that it was the pose Kaepernick did on television during the NFC divisional game against the Packers. After rushing in for a touchdown, Kaepernick flexed his right arm and kissed his bicep in celebration. Since then, the pose "has taken off on social media."

For example, 49ers fans are now posting pictures of themselves in everyday settings, whether it's at home, in a bar, at work, or just out and about on the streets. The pictures include them paying homage to Colin's TD celebration pose by mimicking the pose themselves.

Last year, Tim Tebow had "Tebowing," where fans would do the former Broncos' quart back's pose of kneeling down in prayer-mode after a big touchdown or play. However, it appears Colin Kaepernick is the new man with the new pose, for 2013 at least. Will Soulja Boy Slim or another rapper soon create a rap track to go along with it and maybe a dance?

While "Kaepernicking" has seemed to recently get into the major spotlight because of the 2013 NFL playoffs, it's been going on for weeks prior to Saturday's game. Yahoo! News reports that it started weeks ago after the young QB replaced veteran Alex Smith as the 49ers starter. Since then, he's guided the team to the NFC championship game, with a win taking the "Kaepernicking craze" and the man behind the pose to the Super Bowl.

The Kaepernick pose was seen on Saturday during the 49ers win over the Green Bay Packers. The NFC divisional matchup was televised in Roanoke via FOX affiliate station WFXR 8.
