With the recent news about Colin Kaepernick being under investigation for a suspicious incident on Thursday morning, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback went to Twitter to tell his side of the story.

The report said that Kaepernick was with WR teammate Quinton Patton and Seattle Seahawks WR Ricardo Lockette in Miami. A woman was said to be unconscious in a hotel after an interaction with Kaepernick, though they did not have sex. The woman woke up in a hospital the following morning unsure of what happened.

No charges have been filed and the suspicious incident is still under investigation. TMZ was the first to report this saying Kaepernick was being investigated for an alleged sexual assault.

He told his followers in a three-part tweet that the report from TMZ was wrong and that the words were twisted with the following statements:

(1/3) The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I’ve seen are completely wrong. They make things up about me that never happened.

(2/3) I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes you have to deal with someone who makes things up.

(3/3) I want to thank all of the people who have shared their encouraging sentiments. I assure you that your faith is not misplaced.

Further details of this alleged incident have not been released. The woman's name has been redacted to protect her identity. Information will remain hidden as this is still an ongoing investigation.
