Kacey Musgraves joins Katy Perry for summer tour

Kacey Musgraves has been awarded a spot on Katy Perry’s Prismatic Tour this summer. After she wraps up her opening stint for Lady Antebellum, Kacey Musgraves will hit the road with the pop superstar who has been burning up the charts with hits like “Roar” and “Unconditionally.”

Kacey Musgraves will get a chance to showcase her own talent, performing songs such as “Blowin’ Smoke,” “Merry Go ‘Round,” and “Follow Your Arrow,” all of which have helped thrust Kacey Musgraves into the spotlight over the past year.

Having won the CMA Awards New Artist of the Year trophy in November, Kacey Musgraves seems to be on a rocket skyward. She recently picked up GRAMMY nominations for Best New Artist, Best Country Album (Same Trailer Different Park), Best Country Song (“Merry Go ‘Round”) and Best Country Song (“Mama’s Broken Heart” performed by Miranda Lambert, written by Kacey Musgraves). Kacey Musgraves is also among the semi-finalists for the ACM Awards New Artist of the Year category, and could possibly be nominated for additional awards to be announced later this spring.

Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry will hit St. Louis, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Minneapolis and more as the Prismatic Tour crosses the U.S. and into Canada in August. A complete list of cities along the tour route can be found at
