Kabbalah Meditation: Currents in Thought Part Nine

Consciousness is prompted by the forms of its own all encompassing perspective.  This means that thoughts, which are the awareness of Consciousness are not the only consideration that must be taken into play.  There are emotions and higher conceptual regions of study that are always influenced the final outcomes.

It isn’t enough to simply bring forth the proper thoughts in planning for a final outcome.  You also have to bring forth the context into which these thoughts are flowing as in a positive field of awareness versus a negative or rejecting field of awareness.  This is why even the best affirmations fail to accomplish their desired end.  Without the emotional context to attach themselves they die on the vine so to speak.

This resident emotional template upon which thoughts may be placed is analogous to the fertile soil that brings forth the seeds of all kinds of plants.  Yes everything that is needed within that seed vis a vis the intelligence that is necessary is most certainly there but without the proper soil the right nutrients and a degree of nurturing these seeds may germinate but they will not sprout forth to bring about the bearing of their fruit.

Imagine a river that has a current above and a current below.  Each supports the other and the river cannot move without the harmony that exists between the two.  Were one current to split off from the other the result would be much less than had they both been working together.

The same kind of process takes place within Consciousness.  Thoughts combine with their emotional counterparts to produce the various experiences that we a part of, the sum total of which makes up the warp and woof of our lives.

In Kabbalah we learn about the intellectual awareness of the higher states of being putting them in their place and organizing them according to their hierarchal state of connection with Hashem.  The underlying theme however, must always be that with this knowledge of place also comes a knowledge of context.  We cannot move forward unless we are sure of our next step even if that step is by definition unknown.  How do we then resolve this virtual paradox in paradigm?

The answer is that we send that emotional counterpart ahead of us to prepare the ground for our moving forward.  We send forward the sense of accomplishment and of the feeling of already being there.  How do we do this?  We imagine it into being.

For example you have a goal you want to accomplish.  All the steps are thought about and a plan is made but until you imagine that plan to be successful no amount of preparation will suffice.  Once you attain that feeling of certainty your planning stage is by definition over and you are ready to move forward.  In this way the universe builds all that it needs to express all that it is thinking all of the time.  B”H
