K2 also known as legal weed

K2 or "Legal Weed" as it is known by many users is potentially dangerous. This is a synthetic form of marijuana seen nationwide in hospital emergency rooms.

Some side effects are "... racing heartbeat, high blood pressure, agitation, panic attacks, severe vomiting and occasional fevers as high as 106" degrees."  Many users find it preferable to marijuana because it is cheaper and is a legal substitute for marijuana.

It is sold in head shops as an herbal essence. It is sold as K2 and Spice.  Many owners of these shops protest a ban on it.

There is little wonder why.  K2 is flying off the shelves and is very profitable.  It's more accessible than Marjuana for users. It sells for only $170/ ounce.

Many Florida law officials want to ban it.  K2 has the same and perhaps greater side-effect profile than marijuana.

K2 is a wonder to it users. This is a drug that we should all wonder about.

I really do wish people would be more careful, especially my loved ones. My friends were telling me about some sort of blueberry K2 incense and I googled it and found out it is counterfeit. Apparently there are only a few authentic blends so the list of fakes is scary long and they don't quite know what is in those, http://www.k2incense.org. It's worth checking out if you buy this or know someone who does. Stay safe.....

Thanks for your input, Kelley. You're absolutely correct. The inncence marketed in a variety of names are very dangerous! Some users have become sick and needed to be hospitalized. One does not get a chemical breakdown on the back of these that's in any detail. Always look for FDA approval.

    Thanks,
    Anthony

K2 is not the same as marijuana and to call it fake weed is very misleading and dangerous considering it is actually more potent than cannabis. To ban it is only going to grow the black market and eat up even more of our money by attempting to enforce a useless prohibition. These guys are pretty current on the legality of K2 herbal incense products http://www.k2herbincense.com/

Hi Ashley, No K2 is not marijuana. However it is popularly known as Fake Pot on the street. This was referenced from an edition of a popular area paper. Thanks for your commentary. Anthony

I used it thinking it was going to be like pot. I was in for a shock, it was way more potent and violent. I wanted it out the minute it was in. Its also instant, marijuana takes 10-20 minutes for its peek, while this stuff hits you after 2 puffs. I was like a pshychodelic drug. I hated it and the fact that it is legal does scare me. Being a former pot head i felt like i had to see what all the hype was about but it wasnt worth it. While its debatable whether mary J is addictive or not, i believe without a dought that this K2 is. I craved it and felt like i needed more to feel sane and i hadnt done that much to begin with. That is another think, normal pot heads are going at this drug like it IS pot. A gram rolled into a blunt, nice calm high, watch sponge bob for a few hours...NOT THE CASE! This is like, a pinch in the end of your cigarette and you are transported to hell and you are not yourself anymore...your paranoid and your decision making process is non exsistant, almost like a paralasys. A gram smoked at once? I could see where there has been reported suicides...i would want to die if i smoked a gram at once.
