The Dog is Mine starts this album off. A very uplifting track about him telling someone to take everything but the dog is his. Don't touch has a raggae-pop feel to it. Alone in my car is about riding his girl around, I like this breaks down toward the end. Put Down your phone is a rock-rap type ballad. Both Billy Bragg Winners and Surf's Up are more alternative music than hip hop. He goes back into emcee mode on Play This Games. Wonder Woman is one of the best tracks on the album, he filter his voice in a vocoder is a lot of the track, this is a slower track. Blondes is a song dedicated to independent ladies and the ones who are corrupt. C.L.A. features Travie McCoy. Diamond Sky is a great track, sounds like mainstream american rap. He follows with NYCE 2 Know Ya, a United Kingdom sounding rap song. Nobody Else is a classic K-OS track, the best song on the album, on here he proves he's equally great on lyrics as well as choruses. One Time is the other classic K-OS track on this album, his lyrics are targeting to past flames in his life. Mojo On is the most upbeat track on the album, the dance track of the album. Try again features The Root's Black Thought, K-OS goes introspective telling people he's not a gangster just a black musician. MTV is his perspective on being famous and people telling him how his image should look, he also talks about hip hop today not being real hip hop. Spraying My Pen ends the album with Saukrates and Shad, this is about their love of making songs and spraying enemies with pens on paper instead of bullets in guns.
Overall this is a solid album from K-OS, its packed with a bunch of potential top 100 billboard singles. I give K-OS - Black on Blonde 4 out of 5 stars.
